Okay, so this is it. The official End of Aces High. It's been cancelled. I know I've briefly mentioned this before, but this is the official notice, now that mp.com is stable. However, I don't want to leave anyone hanging, so I'm going to tell all y'all what was gonna happen... SPOILERS? We were at this point where Dana Kelly was telly Holly Jackson just how he went from mild-mannered doofus to someone with amazing super powers who was ripping the heads off of people he deemed "evil". Dana's story was a flashback to the year after the orginal Ace's death when Dana was missing. Dana had discovered that his powers only work if the people around him perceive him as "cool". The culmination of this was when Dana got involved in a kidnapping gone horribly wrong, resulting in the mother murdering her own son. The comic left off with Dana donning a makeshift all-black costume and going off to confront the woman. During this confrontation, the woman would explain to Dana he had no evidence of any wrong doing, and that she, as an incredibly wealthy and corrupt individual, owned most of the legal system anyway. Dana, failing to bring her to justice, goes back to his hotel room. Dana looks at the wrist band, the source of his vast powers. Professor Machiavellian had installed a bomb in their that was unable to be defused. But, now that Dana has control of his coolness powers, he "Fonzies" the bomb, defusing it. Dana takes the band off. A week or two passes, and Dana gets a letter, much to his surprise. It is from the man we have come to know as the Source. The letter to Dana is a plea for help and rescue from the government facility in which he has been held prisoner for so many years. Dana decides to rescue the Source. Once free, the Source explains to Dana how he has the ability to know the answer to almost any question. This gives Dana the idea that if they work together, they could actually change the world. This is where we would leave the flashback. Dana tells Holly that he is going to change the world. His first step was to shock people into awareness and to make them feel like there are real consequences beyond the legal system for their actions. Each time Ace appears in public, he'll continue to make public statements urging people to do good. Eventually, his coolness powers will help persuade people. Then, he'll go about fixing the massive world problems such as war, hunger, and energy needs. Of course, the meat of the story was watching Dana try to do all those things. I don't want to get into that here because if i ever wanted to get back to it, that'd be a great place to start. Whether or not Dana will succeed, I won't say. But, I will say that there was some weird, crazy, and evil stuff ahead. Till another time.
