Monique MacNaughton lives in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. In addition to UNA Frontiers, she also does self-published comics and commission work, and is the artist of GAAK, written by Darryl Hughes. She quotes Alex Toth, Hal Foster, Russ Manning, Winsor McKay, Moebius, Roger Leloup and Donna Barr as artistic influences. She also takes inspiration from literary giants of SF such as Robert Heinlein, Jerry Pournelle, David Niven and C.J. Cherryh. Her other interests include animation, animals, military history, weapons study, emergency preparedness and libertarianism.
