Barb Lien-Cooper ||
A founding member of an award-winning online magazine by women about comics and pop culture, Barbara Lien-Cooper still co-writes a column, The Park and Barb Show, with her husband, Park Cooper, at www.silverbulletcomicbooks.com. Mark Millar (The Authority, Ultimates, Wanted) named Barbara as one of the three most promising new talents in the next wave of comics writing. The former managing editor of the Eisner-award-winning print magazine COMIC BOOK ARTIST, Barbara's critically-acclaimed Gun Street Girl is also viewable at www.panel2panel.com, and the graphic novel HALF DEAD, co-written with her husband, was published by Dabel Brothers Productions and Marvel Comics in March of 2007. She has also adapted over a dozen volumes of various manga and manhwa for Tokyopop, including Atelier Marie and Elie: Zarlburg Alchemist, on which she is listed as Associate Editor. She also has a project of her own in development with Tokyopop. The creative studio she started four years ago with her husband and Gun Street Girl artist Ryan Howe, Wicker Man Studios, has started GUN STREET GIRL PRESENTS at Graphic Smash as a way to showcase upcoming projects as well as GSG.
