Recap: as you might remember Tom Bass came out of his catatonic state on page 4.179 ; Future Force and Force Magellan are outside the Central Tower on Magellan island preparing to magically bust thru a bio-nexus that is trapping hundreds within the tower and protecting DragonKlaw and Miasma at the same time.
Hairdos: I have to admit that [Thorn/Future Montana-Rose's] need to change her hair (and Ranger Bill's jibe plus her retort) stems directly out of a comment made by JimF in the comments threads several pages ago. That sort of thing wouldn't normally happen, but it was such a good point that the story narrative needed to accommodate it!
Multitudes: The next few pages may be more bewildering than normal for new, occasional and even regular readers as there'll be a barrage of characters... todays' update includes: Freya Foster; Ranger Bill and Vertigo (Force Magellan); Maverick, Victory Man, Thorn and Speedlines (Future Force/"Special Ops")...
Recap: All witches and wizards on Magellan Island, including first year cadets Montana-Rose Touchwood and Jemima Castlemain, have been called to the Central Tower to assist in breaking thru a magical bio-nexus placed there by DragonKlaw who is planning nasty deeds from within the tower with co-conspiritor Miasma. Both DragonKlaw and Miasma are future versions of current cadets, as are most of the members of Future Force. Thorn is the future version of Montana-Rose. Jemima's future self appears to have been involved in earlier schemes by DragonKlaw and Miasma... see pages 4.168-169...
More cadets!: Like there weren't enough already!! Anyway, these new four are the witch/wizard cadets from their respective years - Hamish and Janice are Year 2 cadets, Ali and Yukiko are Year 3 cadets. We learnt back at page 4.161 that the uniforms are different colours for each year.
